Thanks to all who have responded to our "24 Hours of Remembrance". We have been overwhelmed with the response and have all the hours covered by different individuals/families participating to honor Derrick by lighting a candle. Derrick will certainly have his huge smile plastered on his face for the whole day as he looks down from heaven and witnesses all the candles lit in his memory.
In addition, please keep Mindy in your thoughts and prayers as she tackles another marathon tomorrow. She continues to be an inspiration to us all!

dear donna,
derrick may not be here in body but he is definitely here in spirit!!!! and will never be forgotten!! you and jim raised an amazing young man who brightened many lives, entertained us with his antics, wowed us with his extraordinary athletic ability, raised our spirits with his never ending smile, and gave us all hope and faith with his unending courage!!! we will have you donna, jim, marcy, and mindy in our prayers tomorrow as we continue to each and every day. mindy, good luck in your marathon!! what an inspiration you are to us!! marcy, have a great time in vegas with mindy and the other ladies. we guess it will feel weird to you to be the cheerleader instead of the participant. but you will make an adorable one. don't wear your skirt too short!! with all these candles lit tomorrow, the world will certainly be a warmer place and all in honor d.j. dully :) it should be a B-E-A-utiful sunrise tomorrow since derrick will most likely ask God to help him out with that one. i bet derrick brings an outrageous smile to His face! i wonder if derrick even keeps God on His toes to stay one step ahead of him?? i wish we had a little window in to heaven to see what all goes on there. i am sure that we wouldn't believe it even if we could see it for ourselves. guess that is why we have to wait till our day comes to experience that spectacular place!!
well sorry that i keep rambling on but there is so much to say about derrick james dull and those that were the closest to him. love ya, nancy
