Just checking in... (and directions now too!)

Just checking in to let everyone the latest on the foundation. I have an appointment set up to sign the paperwork to get the foundation it's non profit status, so I am pretty excited. I look forward to seeing some of you at the Beef and Beer benefit on Saturday. With the kind of support we are getting, it is possible that we may be able to also take on West Virgina for chemo ducks and Kelsey's Dream! If you can't make it to the fundraiser you can order t-shirts, sweatshirts, or wristbands through me at fightondjd@gmail.com. The website is coming along nicely and hopefully will soon be ready. Once it is up and running, I will have a pictures section that I'd love anyone who is interested to email me pictures of you with Derrick or pictures of Derrick. There will also be a link where you can add a story or personal message about Derrick. Hope everyone has a great week and stays warm! Here are two links to articles in the local paper....

I liked the articles written in the paper.
I know you'll never get over your loss. But I know you and your family will "get through" the grief. The foundation is a great way to honor Derrick.

Hey Mindy,

Hope the benefit went well today, sorry we couldn't be there. It sounds like you were going to get a great turnout though. Congrats on almost being approved as a non-profit organization. I am sure it takes a lot of hard work. It will be well worth it in the end though. Take care.

Matt
