I will update on my marathon in the next coming days, but today I felt it was much more important to let everyone know about the passing of two really special people. I got a call Sunday night from Mary Beaver to let me know that at around 5:30 on Sunday her husband passed away. The Beavers are the first family that the organization helped. They are a very special and wonderful family. Please pray for Mike, Mary, their five children and all their friends and family.
Many of you may remember a loyal follower of Derrick's blog who called herself one mother with cancer. She always commented on how even though she didn't know Derrick she gained strength and inspiration from him. She was able to keep a positive outlook as she was searching for a bone marrow donor. She passed away yesterday following complications from her recent transplant. Please keep her friends and family in your thoughts and prayers.

we are sorry to hear about the passing of these two special people!!!! they and their families will definitely be in our prayers!! we are sure that derrick was there in heaven waiting to greet them!! maybe they can all celebrate derrick's birthday together on sat. and i can imagine a birthday party in heaven would be like no other!!! if there are any special prayer requests for these families will you please list them on the blog so we can be specific with our prayers if needed. love you, m and n
