Thank You and an Invitation

Hello all, last night we had a great turnout at the Lititz Issac's night and I thank all of you who came out to show your support. Tonight should be another great time to socialize and reconvene with people at the Ephrata Issac's. I finished my last day of chemo for this round yesterday and also received some good news from the tests I had done last week. The only place where the doc's "think" there is leukemia is in my arm where I had a few bumps, but now those bumps are gone so I don't know. I found out yesterday that I am scheduled to be in NYC at Memorial Sloan Kettering on June 2, to start the chemo for my transplant which should occur maybe 10 days later. Mindy and I pray everyday that this round of chemo will hold me in remission until I am able to get my transplant.

Announcement: Tuesday May 6th, at 6:30 pm we will be having a prayer chain at my house located at 200 N Maple St. in Ephrata, it will be led by Dave Balinski who is a former co-worker of mine at Crossgates. This idea was inspired after an article Mindy found while reading a Guideposts article. Click Here to View. Anyone who is interested is more than welcome to attend.

It was so good to see you guys yesterday. Derrick you looked great for just finishing another round of chemo. I'm glad you had a good turn out both nights and Issacs. I didn't make it to the Ephrata one but i heard from people the place was packed. That again just shows you how many people are on your side praying for you everyday. Keep the faith Derrick and everything will be ok!!

It was great to see you last night! When I saw you the first thing I thought was your spirit and positivity shines on through this disease, which is a defeat in itself.
The manager at the Ephrata Isaac's said to Justin, "who is this guy anyways? This place has been slammed since 4:00 and it is now 8:00."
What a beautiful thing. The support, hope, and love was overwhelming last night. I know you have heard this millions of times but Derrick, you truly have inspired tons of people and your story will continue to ignite hope and courage in many other's lives.

Keep on keeping on.

Love,
Linz

Hey D,

Sorry that I couldn't be at Isaacs, but from what I've been reading, it seems like it was a packed house! My parents went and said it was a great time! I emailed all my college friends and work about purchasing chocolate!

I look forward to you coming to new york and remember my apartment is always open for you, mindy, marcy, moms and pops.

Thinking about you often!
