New York Visit

So next to my great news I got on Friday I got the second best birthday gift ever as Mindy got me a Helicopter ride around New York. Mindy and I both were aboard the helo as we left from a airport in New Jersey on Tuesday afternoon. Needless to say it was awesome, we got some great pics and some video too.

I had an apt. to have some basic blood tests done and also to review the results of my CT scan from Monday. Unfortunately my lungs show some pneumonia still present and some of the nodes are believed to have gotten larger. This was enough to knock my transplant date back yet another week to June, 30th. I was switched to a new drug for pneumonia call posiconizale and covers a larger spectrum of the fungal pneumonia in my lungs. So please pray that I continue to hold my remission and that my lungs clear up and everything with the donor goes well. Which brings me to my next point. We found a new donor who is a better match than the previous one after that whole misunderstanding. This donor is a 7 out of 8 match, because they (medical professionals) are now saying the one strand doesn't matter and each strand has 2 parts, which makes this out of 8 now.

Marcy got home from Ohio yesterday so Mindy, her and I are hanging out today watching some Doug and Carry in King of Queens and enjoying some of this beautiful weather.

Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually.

Psalm 105:4

I'm so glad to hear that you keep getting good news and surprises! Not a day goes by that you're not in my thoughts and prayers and since Minday gave me the LiveStrong bracelet, it's a rarity that it comes off. Keep pushing through and get as much rest as you can until your transplant!
