Weekend update
Sorry for not posting in a while but guess what, I am writing this from my apt. in Lewisburg PA whoo hooooo. We don't like to say anything to jinx us but Mindy and I were able to come home last Wednesday just for the weekend, our good friends got married yesterday and I was able to go to the wedding as long as I steered clear of everyone, Mindy was the Maid of Honor. So getting out of NY and back home here has been great, I have been so gitty, I have been outside on walks and just the smell of the fresh air is just refreshing. I miss this so much and can not wait until we are able to be here full time. I am feeling well and I have been eating good so I hope my weight is up when we have out doctors visit on Tuesday. I really can not express how happy I was and still am to be back home for the first time in months and just getting back to some sense or normalcy.

That's so wonderful to hear that you have been able to go home for a while and get outdoors. It's a beautiful time of year for it. May God continue to bless you as he has been. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. Leisa

Wow! So glad to hear you were able to get out of the hospital and go to your apt. for the weekend. That must have been fantastic. The end of the road is near and soon you will be home for good. Keep up the great work and get home soon.

Hey Derrick,
I'm so glad to hear that you have made it back home. I hope things are going well and you are readjusting to life. I read daily to find out how things are going with you. And also have kept in touch with scott and roz to find out more.
I have a strange request. As you know I work for the ACS. We are looking for someone to speak at an event next weekend who has benefited from our services, such as hope lodge. I know that it is very soon after you have gotten out of the hospital and you may not be up for it, but I just thought I would ask. If you would like more information please email me at lindsay.martin@cancer.org. I hope that we are able to work with you, it is very rewarding to know that someone I am close with has directly benefitted from the programs I work so hard for each day.
Always in my prayers and thoughts,
For A Cure,
Lindsay Martin
another note,
we are featuring hope lodge, and wanted draw a connection to show the college students how this really benefits cancer patients. our event is the collegieate summit with over 200 college students from across pa who participate in Colleges Against Cancer, Relay For Life and more - if you would want to speak it would be a part of our services and survivor ceremony. I know this is alot of information and in no way want to pressure you but just wanted you to know that through hearing your story you were suggested as a great person to highlight.
email me if you have any questions and sorry for another post!!
