We made it, day 100, for those of you who aren't aware this is a huge milestone in my recovery process, after 100 days without problems your percentages for survival go up drastically. Last night I had a surprise B-Day party for Mindy's 26th birthday, we all had a good time. This morning when I woke up Mindy made me breakfast (coco krispies and hash), she also had 100 post it notes stuck all over our apartment, with notes of things I have overcome and things we have done over the past 10 months.
My doctor called with the results of the ultra sound I had on my leg, she thinks there is a small neurologic tumor behind my knee. This should be able to be removed with surgery so pray that everything goes well and that it is this neurologic tumor and nothing else.
Today is another great time to reflect on the obstacles we have overcome and all that we have done even though we were dealing with such a terrible disease.

Happy Halloween & Congratulations on the 100 day milestone. That's such a positive accomplishment. God is good. I will definitely be praying that the surgery goes well and that it's just something they need to remove from behind your knee and nothing more. You have such a sweet girlfriend and you make such a cute couple. I know it makes this ordeal you've gone through so much easier with an angel by your side. Greaaaat News!! I hope the tumor is nothing. How about those Phillies?? Jason, Nicole, Sara & I were there Wednesday night and it was awesome. The last tinme they won the series----the Dull & Morrissey kids were not even being considered, JD & I were rigging Paul Fetters' chair to see if it could sit upright with 3 out of 4 wheels (He did a good balancing job), and Bill was trying to figure out why we were always smiling while we worked.

DAY 100!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a sweet ring it has DAY 100!!! congratulations to you both!! Happy 26th mindy you little cutie! you both must be so excited. we hope that this will let you both relax a bit more and feel as if your life can get back to some normalcy. although, what is normal? and is normal always good? but we do hope that you can at least truly feel some relief. GOD IS SO GOOD!!! congrats derrick! i can't believe day 100 came so quickly! yeah, i don't feel like you were away for 100 days, but i'm happy to hear you are doing well. also, i see my dad posted about the phillies, but don't be jealous i was there to see them win the world series. ;-) take it easy and keep getting better.

Congrats on Day 100. I hope everyting goes well with your leg. These are just minor obstacles, but you are going to be fine. Miranda and I will keep you in our thoughts and check your blog for updates. I gave Mindy my Caring Bridge site. I don't update it everyday like I used to, but I try and do it every few days. My big news is that I treated myself to a new truck when I got to NC! Take care!
