Today I had my Hickman catheter placed in my chest. The surgery to implant it went really well. This will be used to put in medecines, chemo, and any transfusions. Tomorrow I start radiation which I will have three times a day for four days. Tomorrow is what is called day -10. We will be counting down until day 0 which is the transplant day. We will be trying to update the blog daily, so everyone can keep up with my treatments while I am in New York City. Last night I started to notice a rash on my face and under my arms. My lips were a little swollen too. The doctor said that it is just from the medecine that I had been taking over the weekend which I was given to prevent mouth sores. I was admitted into my transplant room today. It is a nice room with a lot of sunlight. The picture I attached is a view from my room. For all those King of Queens fans out there, we actually can see the Queensborough bridge from our room! Please keep me in your prayers that I remain infection free and that the new cells engraft.
Clap your hands, all you peoples shout to God with loud songs of joy. For the Lord, the Most High, is awesome, a great king over all the earth.
Psalm 47:1-2
