Today was day -5 instead of -6. Derrick and I accidentally thought he had a ten day treatment protocol, but it is actually 9. I am posting again tonight for Mr. Sleeping beauty, who is resting peacefully after a great day today. When he woke up this morning he was rejuvenated and felt good. He even ate breakfast and managed to eat a cheeseburger for lunch. In the early afternoon he was doing silly dance moves and reciting movie quotes with Marcy. Like usual we watched more episodes of King of Queens. Later in the afternoon he enjoyed visiting with his mom and dad.He started chemo today and so far he has tolerated it pretty well. He has one more dose of that kind tomorrow, and then on Monday and Tuesday he starts a different kind. He is considered neutropenic already, which means his immune system is down to basically nothing. The radiation really did it's job! On another note Derrick and I wanted to thank our friends and family in Lewisburg for putting together and participating in a successful spaghetti dinner. We heard there was a good turnout and the food was good. Thanks for all your hard work. We look forward to spending time with and personally thanking everyone from Ephrata to Lewisburg and beyond who has been such a big help and inspiration to us since day 1.
Pray to me in time of trouble. I will rescue you, and you will honor me.
