Good evening everyone. Today was day -8 on my road to a cure here at MSK. I had my 3 rounds of TBI (total body irradiation) today again and handled them pretty well. I lost my appetite after the first one of the day, for breakfast I had 2 bowls of cereal and then I had half a PB&J for lunch and nothing for supper. I have all kinds of mucus in my mouth so it really effects my taste, everything just tastes kinda crappy and you don't really want to eat from the nausea the TBI gives you. Tomorrow is my last day of TBI and I only have 2 rounds. My lips are also really chapped because I haven't been able to use chapstick because of the TBI. Mindy and I played some Rummikub this evening which to our suprise was very fun Mindy did win however. Tomorrow my family is coming up to visit so that will be nice to get to see them in person for a little, even though we have been chatting with each other over the web cam set up.
Hope everyone keeps me in their thoughts and prays that I stay strong and that my body graffs with the new stem cells when I receive them. I am still on schedule to have the transplant next Thursday, 1 week from today...whoo hooo. Thank you all so much for all your thoughts and prayers.

Hey Derrick, this is Josh Lawrence (or Big L) just wanted to say hello and tell you to keep strong. I've been keeping up with how you've been doing and I'm really glad to see the improvements. My mom's also been keeping me updated through the Morrissey's (she works with them).
Just keep strong, and you'll get through this.
