Day -10

Today I started my total body irradiation which is done to wipe out any hiding leukemia cells in my body in areas which it is hard for the chemo to reach (skin, brain, central nervous system, rib cage, and testes). I had the radiation in the morning, afternoon, and night. After my second radiation treatment I started to feel nauseous. During my third one I had to have them stop during the middle so I could toss my cookies. The doctors said this was normal for the total body irradiation. I was given more anti nausea medecine which made me take a nice long nap. My appetitite dropped today since I was feeling nauseous throughout the afternoon. Tomorrow I get three more treatments with an extra boost to the rib cage. I started taking a preventative pneumonia medication today which is good considering my history with it. Mindy and I just rested most of the day, watched some King of Queens, and the All- Star Game. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers, please feel free to leave messages on the blog, I love reading them. Here is my address at the hospital

Please keep praying, I know it works!

I will keep on hoping for you to help me; I will praise you more and more. I will tell everyone about your righteousness. All day long I will proclaim your saving power. For I am overwhelmed by how much you have done for me.

Psalm 71:14-15

The picture is of me doing my incentive spirometer which is a breathing treatment to exercise my lungs.
