Good day!
Friday was a very good day for Derrick. He received good news about his white blood count and he had some very special visitors. His buddy from college, Michael Wynn, came from Philadelphia to visit along with his mother and grandmother. Also, Dave (from work) came to visit and at the end of the visit said a prayer for Derrick which Derrick said was one of the most powerful prayers he had ever heard. In the evening he had many visitors including a bunch of his high school buddies. It was such a joy to see Derrick laugh until he cried while all the tales were being told. Today should be a good day, too.......... Marcy is coming home from college to visit with him. Since Tuesday, Mindy has been at his side day and night with a smile on her face, taking care of his needs, being his angel on earth. Thank you Mindy!!

Dear Dulls: Just wanted to pass on to you that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Derrick is a fighter, and with his strong will and determination, we know he'll fight this with all he's got.
There are so many people praying for him - there's got to be a lot of power in that!

Hi, Derrick! We got the instant reply last evening of "Guys Night at Hershey Medical", even the imitation of you laughing so hard you had to hold your side. It must have been quite a party! I imagine those nurses were smiling too, just seeing you in such good spirits. Afterall, that helps make their job easier. And you know what they say....laughter is the best medicine! Take care of yourself, follow your doctors' advice, and know that we are all praying for your recovery.
